What is Potluck?
I’m glad you asked! Potluck is a vegetarian cooking community. After starting Oh My Veggies, I realized that my readers were eager to connect with each other, to share their own recipes, and were always (always!) looking for new ideas to help them out in the kitchen. I wanted to create a place where my fellow bloggers and my readers could come together and share–a virtual veggie potluck! And out of this idea, Potluck was born.
Potluck publishes original content from select vegetarian food bloggers (featured contributors), indexes recipes from other blogs, and lets home cooks submit their own favorite recipes too. Original content on Potluck includes:
Recipes – Original recipes that range from healthy desserts to quick gluten-free vegan dinners. Our contributors represent all different kinds of vegetarian cooking and so do our recipes!
Make It Meatless – We’ll show you how to take classic recipes or favorites from magazines and cookbooks and make them vegetarian. These posts aren’t just about sharing a recipe, they’re about giving you the tools to know how to remake your own recipes too.
Round-Ups – Our contributors curate recipes from around the web and link to them in one convenient place. Need 20 ideas for cashew cream? We have them!
Guides – What’s the difference between almond flour and coconut flour? When should I use tempeh as a meat substitute? We’ll answer all the burning questions you have about healthy vegetarian cooking here.
How To – These step-by-step tutorials will show you how to cook like a pro. Or a semi-pro, at least.
How To Use Potluck
Once you join Potluck, you can start submitting your recipes! You can also use your Potluck account to save your favorite recipes to your recipe box.
For Bloggers
If you’re a blogger, you can opt to share your entire recipe, or only a photo and ingredients. Why do I ask for you to post the ingredients? This helps us index your recipe and make it searchable by ingredient. More people finding your recipe is a good thing, right?!
