Beautifully roasted heirloom tomatoes, garlic, olive oil and fresh herbs make an incredibly flavorful tomato sauce that’s so easy to make.
3 garlic cloves, very thinly sliced
5 lbs heirloom tomatoes, sliced into 3/4 inch thick pieces
1 tbsp olive oil
cooking oil spray
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 – 1/2 cup fresh basil, chopped into thin ribbons (chiffonade)
