Slow Cooked Black Eyed Peas

Prep time: 20 minutes
Cook time: 4 hours 30 minutes
Total time: 4 hours 50 minutes
Serves: About 5 cups

Pop these tender peas in the slow cooker and forget about them until dinner! Delicious alone or in a myriad of other recipes.

Ingredients

1 ½ C Dried Black Eyed Peas, sorted
1 C Purple Onion, Chopped
½ C Red Bell Pepper, Diced Small
½ C Green Bell Pepper, Diced Small
2 Cloves of Garlic, Minced
2 tsp Tabasco
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Liquid Smoke
1 tsp Mustard
1 Bayleaf
5 Cups Vegetable Broth
¼ C Chopped Parsley for Garnish
