Sweet Potato and Black Bean Burgers

Great veggie burgers which are both filling and delicious. Fantastic way to get lots of veggies into the kids.
Ingredients
2 cups cubed sweet potatoes
2 tbsp plus 2 tsp avocado oil, divided
⅛ tsp ground cinnamon
Pinch salt
½ Spanish onion, minced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 bunch spinach, stems removed and finely chopped
1 15-ounce can black beans, drained and rinsed
2 ounces feta cheese, crumbled (or vegan feta)
¼ cup fresh cilantro leaves, chopped
½ cup pecan meal (or just chopped really finely. See notes.)
