Ingredients

½ cup creamy peanut butter
¼ cup butter, at room temperature
1/3 cup brown sugar
½ teaspoon vanilla essence/extract
2 tablespoons milk
¾ cup whole wheat flour
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
Extra granulated sugar for coating (optional)

For the chocolate kisses:
½ cup chopped dark chocolate or milk chocolate
