apple kringle
A delicious version of apple kringle, which might best be described as a cross between a kringle and a Danish pastry.
For the Dough:
180g butter, in a block
250 g plain organic flour
7 g dried yeast
60 ml lukewarm water
60 ml lukewarm milk
50 g caster sugar
½ tsp sea salt
1 free range egg
For the Apple and Cinnamon Filling:
100 g muscovado sugar
80 g butter, cut into small cubes
1 tsp ground cinnamon
Pinch sea salt
1 organic apple, peeled, cored and chopped finely into small cubes
1 organic free range egg, lightly beaten
For the Cinnamon Drizzel Icing:
80g icing sugar
10 g unsalted butter
20 ml organic milk, approximately
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
