Barbecue Lentil Loaf
Sweet, spicy, and “meaty” lentil loaf reminiscent of meatloaf. Perfect for the holidays, and sure to please vegetarians and meat eaters alike.
1/3 cup tomato paste
1/4 cup water
1/4 teaspoon granulated garlic
1 Tablespoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 Tablespoon blackstrap molasses
1 Tablespoon balsamic vinegar
1/2 Tablespoon Dijon mustard
1/2 Tablespoon maple syrup
pinch salt
2.5 cups steamed lentils (500 grams)
1/2 cup onion—chopped small
1/4 cup carrots—-chopped small
1/4 cup celery—-chopped small
1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic
1/3 cup egg whites
3 Tablespoon coconut flour
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon paprika
