Cabbage Kofta in Cashew Tomato Curry
Cabbage Kofta in creamy tomato based gravy is perfect for days when you want to make something special for your family.
Kofta or fried dumpling recipe:
oil for deep frying
11/2 cup finely chopped cabbage
1 green chilly, finely chopped
1/4 cup finely chopped cilantro
1/4 cup besan (gram flour)
1/4 teaspoon salt (or as needed)
Cashew Tomato Sauce:
1 tablespoon oil
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 tablespoon chopped ginger
1/2 tablespoon chopped garlic
1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon kashmiri red chilli powder
1/2 tablespoon coriander powder
1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
1 large tomato, blanched, peeled, and pureed
1/2 teaspoon sugar (optional)
2 tablespoon cashew nut paste (soak nuts in hot water for 5 minutes, then grind to fine paste)
11/2-2 cups water
1/4 teaspoon salt (or as needed)
2 tablespoon cream
1/4 cup finely chopped cilantro
