Ingredients
3 cups milk
½ vanilla bean, split lengthwise and scraped
7½ ounces (3 tablespoons plus ¾ cup) unsalted butter
1 cup sugar
⅔ cup pastry flour
1 extra large egg yolk
2 extra large eggs
3 tablespoons dark rum
3 ounces beeswax, finely chopped (about ⅓ cup)
