Gone are the times when vegetarians would only be offered mushroom risotto at restaurants. Now there is a new dish that while it won’t actually replace a beef steak it is certainly tasty. Think a spiced, caramelised cauliflower steak topped with creamy mushroom sauce!
Ingredients
1 cauliflower
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon chopped garlic
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
2 tablespoons oil
200g/7ozs. sliced mushrooms
2 cloves garlic, peeled and thinly sliced
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
200ml/7flozs. cream
Salt and pepper to season
