A perfectly tender and sweet vegan danish braid, with a rich chocolate filling!
Ingredients
For the danish pastry:
5 teaspoons Red Star Active Dry Yeast (2 packets)
⅓ cup cane sugar
½ cup warm water
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup olive oil
3 tablespoons warm water
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 cup cashew milk
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
4 cups all purpose flour/
For the chocolate filling:
½ cup cane sugar
¼ cup all purpose flour
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons olive oil
For the vegan egg wash:
1 tablespoon cashew milk
1 teaspoon agave nectar
2 tablespoons cane sugar
3 tablespoons sliced almonds
