Homemade Vegetable Spring Rolls
Vegetable spring rolls are savory Chinese rolls filled with spicy and crunchy vegetables in classic Chinese flavors; perfect as appetizers, starters or finger foods at any party.
For the vegetable filling:
½ cup grated carrots
½ cup thinly sliced cabbage
¼ cup red capsicum/bell pepper (you can use any color)
¼ cup chopped green onions (white portion)
1 teaspoon grated ginger
1 teaspoon grated garlic
2 tablespoons finely chopped coriander leaves/cilantro
2 tablespoon chopped green onions (green portions)
1 to 2 tablespoons chili garlic paste
1 teaspoon black pepper powder
½ teaspoon to 1 teaspoon vinegar
2 tablespoons oil (sesame oil or any cooking oil)
Salt to taste
For the spring roll covers:
1 cup all purpose flour/maida
2 tablespoons hot oil
Salt to taste
