Dry Spicy Okra or Dry Masala Bhindi is a very popular, staple and loved dish in Indian cuisine. Every region, every state of India has their own version of Dry Spicy Okra.
Ingredients
250 gm okra (ladyfinger or bhindi)
1 small tomato finely chopped
2 tbsp oil
½ tbsp mustard seeds
½ tbsp cumin seeds
pinch of asafoetida
1 tbsp lemon juice
For masala:
3 cloves garlic minced
⅓ tbsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp red chili powder
1 tbsp coriander powder
½ tbsp cumin powder
1 tbsp chickpeas flour / besan
salt to taste
