Orange Vanilla Smoothie
Like a healthy creamsicle. My favorite smoothie recipe to date that isn’t full of fruit.
2 cups packed spinach
1 inch fresh ginger, sliced into coins (if you have a poor quality blender I recommend grating the ginger)- leave the skin on if organic
1/2 inch fresh turmeric, sliced into coins (grate if you need)- leave the skin on if organic
1/2 teaspoon matcha powder
1/2 teaspoon baobab powder
1/2 teaspoon vanilla powder (vanilla extract would work too)
pinch ground black pepper (helps your body utilize the turmeric nutrients)
zest of one orange (about 1 tablespoons- organic preferred)
juice of that orange- any amount it produces
1 banana, peeled (or substitute 1 cup mango)
1/2 avocado meat
1 cup water, coconut water, or almond milk
