This amazingly soft orange walnut cake is loaded with ground walnuts, orange juice, zest and has a crisp orange sugar topping. Perfect plain or with coffee.

Ingredients

Dry ingredients
1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup walnuts
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
Wet ingredients
1 stick unsalted butter, room temperature
1/2 cup sugar
zest of one orange
2 eggs, large
1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
Orange sugar topping
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon orange zest
1/4 cup walnuts, finely chopped
