Pumpkin Dark Chocolate Crumb Cake
Forget the pumpkin pie! This pumpkin dark chocolate crumb cake is moist, spiced, & fluffy, layered with chocolate crumble and gooey pockets of half-melted chocolate.
For the Crumble:
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 cup dark chocolate, roughly chopped
1/4 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, cubed
For the Cake:
2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
8 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and cooled
1 1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 cup pumpkin purée
2 eggs
1/4 cup milk
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
