Strawberry Brownies
These brownies make a great Valentine’s Day treat. A chocolate brownie covered with a cream cheese frosting and topped with strawberries!
For the chocolate brownies:
1½ sticks unsalted butter
7 oz. (200g) bittersweet chocolate, broken into small pieces
2 large eggs
⅓ cup sugar
¼ cup packed dark brown sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
½ cup all-purpose flour
¼ teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
For the cream cheese frosting:
8 oz. (225g) cream cheese, at room temperature
½ cup confectioners’ sugar, sifted
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons heavy cream
For the topping:
1 lb. (450g) strawberries, cut into chunks
melted bittersweet chocolate, for drizzling
