Ingredients
For the french toast:
1 1/3 cups almond milk
1/4 cup spelt flour
1 tbsp maple syrup, plus more for serving
1 tbsp almond butter
1 tbsp + 1 tsp nutritional yeast
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp freshly ground nutmeg
1/8 tsp sea salt
8 slices day-old ciabatta bread, sliced about 3/4 inch (2 cm) thick
Coconut oil, for cooking
Cherries
For the coconut whipped cream:
1 can full-fat coconut milk, refrigerated overnight
Few drops of vanilla extract
2 tsp maple syrup, or to taste
