Apple Blueberry Spiced Porridge

A great start to the day for kids or adults, with the flavors of sauteed apples and blueberries, spiced with cinnamon, nutmeg and maple syrup.
Ingredients
Oats:
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/4 cup steel cut oats
3/4 cup milk
1/4 cup water
pinch of salt
Dash of cinnamon
1 tsp demerara brown sugar
Apple blueberry topping:
2 apples, peeled, cored, diced
1/4 cup frozen blue berries
2 tbsp golden raisins
1 tbsp butter
1 heaping Tbsp demerara sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
Pinch of nutmeg
1 tbsp vanilla maple syrup
Garnish:
2 tsp double cream
2 tablespoons slivered almonds
drizzle of vanilla infused maple syrup
