Apple Spiced Hummus – a sweeter spin on a traditional dip.
Ingredients
2 15-oz can chickpeas, rinsed and drained
1 large apple, peeled, cored & chopped (I used Macintosh, but golden delicious is typically used)
¼ cup (60 ml) lemon juice
¼ cup (62 grams) natural peanut butter
1 tbsp maple syrup
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp nutmeg
⅛ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
pinch of salt
