Cheddar Sriracha Cornbread Donuts

Spicy Sriracha sauce, cheddar cheese and hearty cornmeal make for a tasty whole grain savory donut.
Ingredients
1/2 cup stone ground medium grind cornmeal (we use Bob’s Red Mill Brand)
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 large egg (at room temp)
2/3 cup lowfat buttermilk (at room temp)
1 Tablespoon butter (melted and cooled)
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 Tablespoon Sriracha sauce
Optional:
1 Tablespoon Green Onions finely chopped (ends mostly)
1 Tablespoon finely chopped sun-dried tomatoes
