Tender cauliflower in a river of creamy, cheesy garlic Alfredo sauce topped with bread crumbs. It doesn’t get any better than Cauliflower Gratin!
Ingredients
1 large head cauliflower, about 3 pounds, cored and cut into bite-sized florets
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
2 Tablespoons butter
1 shallot, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon minced fresh thyme or 1/8 teaspoon dried
1 Tablespoon flour
1 ½ cups heavy cream
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Pinch ground nutmeg
½ cup breadcrumbs, optional
