Fire Roasted 20-Minute Pasta Sauce
Thick, rich and full of flavor, this Fire Roasted 20-Minute Pasta Sauce will have you giving up your store purchased sauce. Serve it with your favorite pasta, or use it as a pizza sauce.
2 carrot stick, chopped into tiny pieces
1 1⁄2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 small onion or half of one large onion
1 small yellow, red, or orange bell pepper, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 15 oz. cans of fire roasted diced tomatoes
1 15 oz. can tomato sauce
1⁄2 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 heaping teaspoon turmeric powder
2 tablespoons brown sugar
red pepper flakes (optional)
