It’s a pretty simple recipe. Basically just process dates, cacao powder, coconut, sweetener, and kosher salt, and you get an almost healthy and delicious dessert. I used coconut flakes, but you can use shredded coconut too. Make sure it’s unsweetened though!
2 cups pitted dates
¾ cup raw cacao powder
1 cup unsweetened flaked coconut, divided
2 tablespoons sweetener (pure maple syrup, honey, agave syrupor molasses)
1 teaspoon kosher salt or celtic sea salt
¼ cup cacao nibs (optional, I didn’t have them this time and left them out)
Nonstick vegetable oil spray (for securing the parchment paper)
