Gingerbread Pear Cake

Ingredients
The Pears:
4 Bosc pears – peeled, cored and cut into 8 wedges each
¼ cup brown sugar
1 TBS dairy free butter (or other dairy free spread)
Creaming:
½ cup dairy free butter
½ cup packed brown sugar
Dry:
2 cups plain flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
1 TBS ginger
1 tsp nutmeg
½ tsp ground cloves
½ tsp salt
Wet:
1 cup coconut yogurt
½ cup molasses
2 eggs
Sauce (optional):
50 grams butter
½ cup brown sugar
½ tsp cinnamon
3 TBS rum or other spirit
