Honey-Nut and Apple Sandwich (plus nut butter recipe)
I realize it may seem silly to post a recipe for a sandwich. So consider this more an “idea” than “recipe”. I’ve also included a recipe for Peanut-Walnut-Almond Butter which is much less oily than store-bought nut butter!
For the Honey-Nut and Apple Sandwich:
1 small apple (or half a large one)
1 – 3 tablespoons nut butter of choice
2 slices sliced bread (gluten-free if necessary)
Pinch of ground cinnamon
Drizzle of honey
For the Peanut-Walnut-Almond Butter recipe:
2 tablespoons chopped peanuts
2 tablespoons slivered almonds
2 tablespoons chopped walnuts
Optional extras: Pinch of salt, 1 teaspoon honey and/or the filling of a peanut butter cup
