Simple and easy Indian chickpeas curry made with only a few ingredients; full of nice flavours and aroma. Protein-packed dish made with simple ingredients.
Ingredients
11/2 cup dry chickpeas (soaked overnight or minimum for 6 hours)/2 cans chickpeas
3 tsp olive oil/ canola oil
1/8 tsp asafoetida powder (optional)
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 medium yellow onion (finely chopped)
2 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1 cup chopped/ pureed tomatoes (I used vine ripened tomatoes)
1 tsp salt
½ tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp coriander powder
½ tsp cayenne pepper
½ tsp garam masala powder
1/4 cup cilantro (chopped)
