This dairy-free, vegan caramel is coconut-free, soy-free and date-free. And there’s no need for candy thermometers! Plus, a recipe for evaporated almond milk – a dairy-free alternative to evaporated milk
Ingredients
⅓ cup brown sugar, packed
¼ cup maple syrup
2 tablespoons pumpkin puree
Evaporated Almond Milk (recipe follows)
1 tablespoon cornstarch (cornflour)
2 tablespoons hot water

3 cups unsweetened almond milk
