No-Bake Vegan Easter Nests
Here’s a delicious and easy-to-make Easter dessert idea.
1 tablespoon coconut oil
3 tablespoons tahini (or another nut butter)
1 teaspoon cocoa powder (or more if you prefer it more chocolatey)
2 tablespoons maple syrup
½ cup oat flour
¼ cup nuts
1 teaspoon of sesame seeds – optional
A few whole nuts for decoration (I used almonds and Brazil nuts)
Slice the nuts vertically.
Melt the coconut oil and mix it with the cocoa powder, tahini and maple syrup.
Add the nuts, seeds and oats until you have a mixture that holds together. If the mixture is too soft, leave it in the fridge for a little while, or add more oat flour.
Put spoonfuls of the mixture onto a plate covered with parchment paper and, using the spoon, shape a cavity in the center. If this method doesn’t work well, use plastic wrap to shape the nests with your hands. Just wrap a ball of the mixture and create the cavity using your thumb.
Put the nests in the fridge for a few hours or overnight until they harden.
Put a couple of nuts in the cavity and enjoy!
