Chilli Paneer
Chilli Paneer is an Indo-Chinese fusion dish of cubes of paneer cheese fried in a batter and then cooked down in a sweet and sour sauce.
Base:
225g Paneer, cut into 1 inch cubes
6 tbsp oil
1/2 onion sliced
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 inch ginger, minced
1/2 bell pepper, diced
3-4 green chillies, chopped
3 stalks of spring onions, chopped finely
Handful coriander, chopped for garnish
Batter:
3 tbsp flour
1 tbsp corn four
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp chilli powder (optional)
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
3 tbsp water
Sweet and Sour Sauce:
2-3 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp vinegar
3-4 tbsp ketchup
2-3 tsp sugar
1 tbsp red chilli sauce
1 tbsp tomato puree
5 tbsp water
