Sweet and Spicy Nut and Pretzel Mix with Beer

This spicy and sweet nut and pretzel mix is perfect for game day snacking.

4 cups unsalted nuts (I used a mix of cashews, almonds and pecans)
2 tablespoons butter
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup beer (I used Lagunitas Brown Shugga’)
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp. ground allspice
1/2 – 3/4 tsp. ground cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
4 cups pretzels twists
1 1/2 – 2 tsp. kosher salt
