Tomato, Eggplant, and Chickpea Ragout

So this dish is super easy (like usual) and is a nice take on dinner. It’s warm like a soup or stew, but can be eaten on its own or with a grain. Feel free to adjust the spices to suit your tastes.
Ingredients
1 can chickpeas, drained
1/2 eggplant
1/2 cup cherry tomatoes
1/2 red onion
2 tsp minced garlic
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
sea salt and pepper to taste
ptional: chopped Beyond Meat (or any other additional protein)
