Vegan Chai Donuts with Cardamom Icing
These vegan chai donuts are perfectly spiced and topped with a sweet cardamom icing. Enjoy these as a wonderful weekend breakfast or brunch!
½ cup roasted cashews ground into flour
6 tablespoons almond milk
1 chai tea bag
½ teaspoon of apple cider vinegar
½ cup apple sauce
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons brown sugar
¼ cup white sugar
1 tablespoon coconut oil
2 tablespoons Earth Balance (or butter) melted
2 teaspoons baking powder
¼ teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground ginger
½ teaspoon cardamom
dash of cloves
dash of allspice
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup white flour
For Icing:
½ cup confectioners sugar
2 teaspoons almond milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
¼ teaspoon cardamom
