Aloo Posto
Aloo posto – potatoes cooked in poppy seed paste, with mustard oil and five spice tempering. A delicately flavored Bengali vegan dish.
Ingredients
- Potatoes – 4 medium-sized
- White poppy seeds – 2 tablespoons
- Green chilies – 2
- Turmeric powder – 1 teaspoon
- Salt – to taste
- Panch phoron – 1 teaspoon
- Mustard oil – 2 teaspoons
