This easy bread pudding recipe with rum custard sauce is the perfect make ahead dessert for the holidays! Great way to use stale bread too!
Ingredients
Bread Pudding:
Stale White Bread, sliced diagonally in half 7
Milk 3/4 cup
Eggs 2
Vanilla Extract 1 tablespoon
Brown Sugar + Extra for sprinkling 5-6 teaspoons
Salt – A Pinch
Cinnamon Powder 1/2 teaspoon
Nutmeg powder 1/4 teaspoon
Melted Butter 2 tablespoons
Chopped Nuts (I used walnuts and almonds) 2 tablespoons
Rum Custard Sauce:
Milk 3/4 cup
Egg 1
Sugar 1/4 cup
Vanilla Extract 1/2 teaspoon
Salt A pinch
Dark Rum 1 1/2 tablespoons
