Blackeye pea curry or Lobia is a protein packed curry from North India in a tangy tomato and tamarind sauce.
Ingredients
2 cups of dry black-eyed peas
4 cup of hot water
1 tsp of garlic paste
1 tsp of ginger paste
1 tsp of salt
1 small onion chopped
1 green chili chopped
1 tsp of coriander powder
1/2 tsp of turmeric powder
1 tsp of cumin seeds
1 tsp of red chili pepper
1 tin of tomato paste
1 tsp of tamarind
Tempering Ingredients:
2 tbsp of oil
1/2 onion sliced
1/2 tsp of cumin seeds
Bunch of cilantro leaves
