Healthy bulgur wheat and quinoa pilaf, made with bulgur wheat, red quinoa, peas, corns and dried fruit. Better than white rice pilaf.
Ingredients
1/2 cup dry bulgur wheat
1/2 cup dry quinoa
1/2 large onion (sliced)
1 tsp olive oil
1/2 tsp garlic powder
2 1/4 cups low-sodium vegetable broth
1/3 cup frozen peas
1/4 cup corn kernels
1 teaspoon Italian herb mix
1/2 tsp crushed black pepper
1/4 cup roasted nuts + raisins
2 tbsp cilantro/ parsley
salt, to taste
