Cherry, Almond and Olive Oil Cake

A cake where the olive oil is the main character, in flavor, texture and scent. An amazing cake, moist and fluffy, with juicy cherries that burst in your mouth when you bite into them, and almond meal that gives the mild nuttiness and sweetness.
Ingredients
1 cup Greek yogurt
1/2 cup olive oil
3 eggs
1 lemon (zest and juice)
1/2 cup sugar
1 and 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup almond meal
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup pitted halved cherries
olive oil spray for the bottom and sides of pan
icing sugar for the topping
