Pasta with Beet and Hazelnut Gremolata

Gremolata is an Italian condiment made of chopped herbs, nuts and lemon. Here it is made with beets and hazelnut for a pasta sauce that makes a nice twist from regular pesto!
Ingredients
1 small beet
1 handful hazelnuts (with shells)
1 clove garlic
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp lemon zest
olive oil
salt
chopped parsley or sage, to serve (optional)
400g pasta of your choice
