Chinese Tea Eggs (Cha Ye Dan)

Serves: 6 eggs

Chinese Tea Eggs that have beautiful and intricate patterns! Made by boiling eggs in tea, herbs and spices, then allowing it to soak overnight.

Ingredients

large eggs
soy sauce (I used light soy sauce, but use dark soy sauce if you would like a more defined pattern)
water
star anise
cinnamon stick
orange peel
black peppercorn
sliced ginseng
coconut palm sugar
black tea leaves
