Apple Pancakes with Vanilla Sauce

These apple pancakes are the perfect healthy breakfast for a lazy weekend morning. They are very filling, bursting with juicy apple pieces and holiday flavors.
Ingredients
2 cups (240g) whole wheat flour
2 tablespoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 and 3/4 cup (420ml) unsweetened milk of choice (I used almond)
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
6 tablespoons maple syrup, agave or brown sugar
2 cups (250g) chopped apples
optional: 2 cups (500g) vanilla yogurt to serve (or maple syrup and coconut oil)
