Simple vegetables and vermicelli soup

A simple vegetable soup, just like my mom used to make when I was a child. It’s quick, easy, comforting, and your best ally to fight winter’s bugs!
Ingredients
1 onion, peeled and quartered
1 leek, washed and sliced
2 carrots, scrubbed and sliced
2 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
2 celery stalks, 1-inch slices
1 big garlic clove, peeled and inside sprout removed
2 cloves, a few peppercorns, 2 thyme sprigs, 2 bay leaves, salt to taste
3 handful of vermicelli pasta
